Come watch as St. Tammany's own Linda Beall bands Hummingbirds
throughout the day. 7:00AM to 5:00PM Some lucky person in the
audience will get to hold the bird to release it after it is banded.
Olga and Walter Clifton will be giving slide presentations on
Hummingbirds and Gardening to Attract Them. The extensive gardens
offer everyone an opportunity to observe Hummingbirds feeding in the
flowers. The lovely trails offer an opportunity to birdwatchers and
nature lovers to explore the property.

Wings Over the Wetlands Birding Festival - Friday through Sunday in
the Barataria Preserve of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and
Preserve and the town of Jean Lafitte. Located just 20 miles south of
New Orleans, the 20,000 acres of the preserve and the waterways of
the town of Jean Lafitte provide a permanent or migratory home for
over 200 species of birds. Birding field trips on foot, by canoe, and
by boat; sales and exhibits; guest speakers; hands-on demonstrations.
